Mack’s Bike and Goods is a neighborhood bike shop owned by Evanstonians Sam and Kelly Mack. Since opening our doors in March 2020, we’ve focused on friendly, reliable bicycle service and a thoughtfully curated mix of goods we genuinely love. At the heart of Mack’s is a deep appreciation for the bicycle as both tool and art. We bring a sense of intention to every bike we share—featuring handmade bicycles built right here in Evanston by Sam Mack, alongside small-batch makers like Rivendell.

Custom Builds! Our pride and joy and most favorite thing to do is to get you out there on your fully-custom bicycle. If you’re interested in getting a conversation going about making your own custom build, email us at customs@macksbikeandgoods.com. We are proud to be your local Rivendell dealer.
Full-Service: We service any and all bicycles (*see note below regarding e-bikes)! Whether you need air (always free), a flat repair, or a full-tune-up (with a wash) - we can take care of you! Mack’s is first-come, first serve.
Goods: Blue-Lug, Sim Works, Rene Herse, Ultradynamico, Swift Industries, Outershell, Bell, Giro, Ombraz, and more!

E-BIKE Service at Mack’s
We only service e-bikes with Bosch/Shimano drive system. This includes service of ANY KIND (adjustments, flat repairs, tune-ups, etc.) Appointments for e-bike service are requested due to extremely limited space at Mack’s. Please call the shop at 847-877-8877 prior to coming to the shop with your e-bike to confirm we can work on your bike and have time.
Buying A New Bike
Mack’s does not stock on the floor bikes at this time beyond our custom builds. You are welcome to buy a bicycle of your choice from your preferred space and bring it to us for assembly/tune-up. Many people choose to buy their new bicycle online and bring it to us for professional assembly - great! Or they find a vintage treasure from a local garage sale and we fix it up with a tune-up - also great! You can always give us a call or stop by to chat about options.
